Where does it breathe?

From the intention of your heart or the fear in your mind?

I created this piece in June 2020. It has continually asked a lot of questions, it is heavy, bold, and calls me to action. I began painting it to help myself process and to move through some tension, anger, sadness, and overwhelm at the amount of hatred that exists in the world. Specifically the racism and police brutality toward Black, Indigenous, and people of colour. It must be stopped and we must take anti-racist actions consistently to end white supremacy.
